ARW 10/23

            The videos we watched in the class were quite interesting. Both videos were made from a lot of other videos and that were put together into one video. The first one we watched was nice and I liked it. It was made from a lot of high quality videos, so we could listen beautiful music from the video. However, the second one was awful. Though some of the singers were good they were still a lot of low quality sounds, which made the video sounds bad. This result also adapt to our ARW essay. If we used only good resources, the essay would also be nice. In my last essay, all of the resources I used were in English and I also tried to find information, which has the author, names right. However, the problem is that most of the information I used were from website. Searching information on the Internet is very useful and quick, but I should have tried to find information in different ways.

            We also discussed about what we can do in order to make our essay more unique and interesting. Some students already decided their topics for second essay, but there are still some students who thought about their topics, but still not sure about it. I also have an idea about my topic, which is about beauty pageant, but there are also some possibilities of me changing topic. It is difficult to come up with really interesting topic or original ways of making essay interesting, but I will try to make my essay more interesting than my first one. We also looked at stereograms, which I was not good at. I could not see any big starfish or dolphins. I tried not to see surface but there were no use. I just keep looking the complicated picture and did not find any particular big picture. I heard some students saying that if we keep practicing of finding pictures in stereograms, our abilities to see will improve. I think it is also good way of not only seeing the behind of information but also training our eyes.

            Our ARW class went back to the original one today. I could see how much today’s class was interesting than the old style ones. I hope we will keep up with this way of class.
